Finally, after 4 months of development first stable release of WordPress rating plugin with tons of features and options. Plugin features post, page and comments rating, rating rules, moderation, time restricted voting, trend calculations, detailed voting log, import and export of votes, customizable images fro stars and trends, extensive control panel, PDF user guide and more.
You can expect regular updates and new features in the future. Roadmap is updated so you can check out what to expect soon. So, install fresh or upgrade plugin and try out new version. New GraphicsThis is the Halloween edition, and it contains one new image set with pumpkins. Also, I have updated additional image sets and now they include most popular stars set in GIFformat mated on white or black if you need that to avoid lack of IE6 transparent PNG support. PHP4 & mySQL4 CompatibilityWith many changes in the past few days I have (hopefully) fixed all problems related to PHP4 and mySQL4. Still, the tests were done only with PHP 4.4.7, and I can’t guarantee that there are no problems with some older version of PHP. But since PHP4 is not officialy supported anymore, I will not going to add support for older versions anyway.
Time Restricted RatingPicture on the right show two states of time restrictions. First image shows remaining time until the rating for the post is closed, and the second one is closed voting state. You can use countdown timer or set the date when the rating will expire. This rating restrictions uses two sepparate rating text templates, one for active rating and the other when the rating is closed. WordPress 2.7Plugin fully supports new upcoming WordPress, with some minor visual differencies that will be sort out before the official WP2.7 is released. First next version of the plugin will have all these things sorted out. Thank you for all the support, suggestion and help in finding and fixing bugs. This version has numerous bug fixes and few changes from previous RC4 version. I have added voters log where you can see who voted for what and where you can delete votes. Also, time restricted voting is completed but this feature might need some more testing, so I expect the feedback and bug reports.

I installed 1.0 today with the default options (first time ever trying this plugin). It’s showing Voting Closed for all posts, pages, and comments. Any ideas to check? Thank you, Jas
Very strange, I did few clean installs last few days and I had no problems. But, I will check if I maybe missed something. Try to use plugin setup panel to reinstall database and remove all settings for plugin.
I have found the bug. I will release new version tomorrow that will fix that.
I used this widget for my new site too. its great but the time restriction doesnt work. but it doesnt matter for me
i just want to know if its possible to save the ip adress from voters. because if i clear my cookies i can vote again and again. and when the widget would save the incoming ip the cokkies doesnt matter or not?
You commented you found the bug, look forward to the new release, found the plugin tonight, looks awesome. I just wanted to note that I also am having issues with the rating being closed on all posts.
Yes, I have fixed the time restriction bug, and will release new version tonight.
Also, there will be some changes in saving user agent and ip data. Right now if there is no cookie, but ip is loged, visitor can’t vote.

Read the user guide, there is description of custom functions you can use in the theme and also shortcodes.
